11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken
away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand
two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand
three hundred and five and thirty days. KJV
These scriptures provide a way to determine when the
Abomination of Desolation occurs - if we can correctly determine when the daily
sacrifice was taken away and the period of time referred to as 1290 days.
Knowing that, we can also determine when the blessing is after the 1335 day
duration.
The following is an explanation of how we did this and the
results that we obtained.
The first item - a condition really - was to establish that
we would take every piece of information from the bible. It is, after all, the
bible that contains the prophecy and if God wants us to understand it then He
must provide information in the scriptures that allow us to understand it. In
other words, we are not going to follow our sages, prophecy preachers, best
friend's opinions, or works of some self proclaimed scholar. Many prophecy
pundits have believed somebody’s extra biblical meandering and
then searched the scriptures for some verse that can be taken out of context and
seem to support their interpretations. They honor men but not God. We don’t want to fall into that trap so
we follow the definitions given in the scripture, not the latest best seller.
The only time we consult outside the bible is when we have a historical date of
some event in the past and need to look in a history book to see what happened
on a particular date. We didn’t even want to do that since not all historians
agree on the dating of biblical events, but from a practical perspective, a
non-historian may well need a good historical account.
We used the age old concept that the "day" in this prophecy
is a year and show in the report why this is true.
We used the year 581 BCE as the date that sacrifices ended
based on the bible verses stating that sacrifices were still occurring after the fall
of Jerusalem in 587-6 BCE. This follows from Jer 52 which cites King
Nebuchadnezzar's 23rd year as the time of the last deportation of the remaining
people. Hence, sacrifice is over because there are no longer any people
left in the land. We know this is the correct time period
because Daniel said in Dan 10: 1 that he understood the vision which means he
knew which sacrifice cessation was being referenced, and the sacrifice cessation
in his lifetime is the only one he knew about. Details are in the
report.
1290 years after the cessation of sacrifice is the year 691
AD.
The Islamic calendar of 354 days, which is abbreviated AH, begins in the
year 622 on the common era calendar.
The Dome of the Rock is accurately dated to the year 72 AH
(Islamic calendar) a date which is etched into the cornerstone of the Dome of the Rock. There are 72
years of 354 days each from the beginning of the Islamic AH calendar to the
opening of the Dome of the Rock. That would be equal to 25,488 (354 x 72)
days. 25488 by the 365.25 days in our year is 69.7823 years. That is
to say that 72 years on the Islamic calendar is 69.7 years on our calendar.
By adding the 69.7 years to 622 when the Islamic calendar began we can find the
year on our calendar that the Dome of the Rock was commissioned. And, 69.7
+ 622 = 691.7 AD. The Dome of the rock was opened in 691.7 AD, the very
year that we calculate for the beginning of the Abomination of Desolation.
The bible says the Abomination of Desolation occurs on the holy place which is
exactly where the Dome of the Rock is - the Temple Location in Israel. God gave
us these numbers in prophecy so we can discern what is going on in the world.
Yet, today, much of the religious world believes that the Dome of the Rock is a
pretty old building that should be preserved.
Interestingly enough, the 1335 days of Dan 12 is determined to
be after August 2007, depending on whether 622 AD or 622.5 is used for the date
of the Haj. We think it is possible that the Temple Mount area will
become in complete possession, administratively of the Jews in 2007/8. That
could spark a revival and God could heal the land. But if there is no
revival, the increased tensions could result in Gog Magog. With the 40
year wilderness experience coming to a conclusion in June 2007, the Jews
may receive Temple Mount during the year following that time. (A calculated time
would be after August up to 7-10 months later depending on how the Islamic date
of the Haj is used, but still within the mid 2007 to mid 2008 timeframe.) If that sparks a revival and God heals the land, then the end
will not be now. But if we go through 2007/8 and no revival happens, we
think we are in the last hours. We believe God will rescue His people
before the Day of the Lord.
